Single Washer Doors

Single washer washers are not only for domestic use anymore. They are being used by many corporations and other organizations to protect valuable property from thieves or trespassers. A single washer has an added advantage over a double door lock; it is less difficult to pick, therefore more easily picked by anyone not interested in breaking a lock. Also, because it is less difficult to pick, a criminal who breaks into the building will not be able to take as much time looking for the key that opens the safe, as they would if they were trying to pick a double door lock.

Single washers are usually attached to the bottom or side of a door with a washer plate or a metal door hinge. There is usually an extra layer of metal on the inside face of the door that is exposed when the door is closed. The washer moves up and down as you open or close the door. It stops when the door is closed. If there is no metal door hinge, then the washer moves up and down along a track on the top and bottom of the door.

Single washers are available in several types to meet various needs. They are a good security investment because they offer better protection than two or more doors with a deadbolt. They are easy to install and take little maintenance. The locking mechanism is simple and effective. They have a slim profile and do not add bulk to a door.
