First, make sure you have all the necessary tools handy before you begin. You'll need a screwdriver and the door security lock kit. Once you have everything ready, start by removing the existing screws from the door handle. Next, place the new security lock over the existing holes and screw it into place using the screws provided in the kit.
Make sure the lock is securely in place before testing it out. You can do this by trying to open the door from the outside with the lock engaged. If everything is working properly, you're all set!
