What is A Concealed Door Hinge?

A concealed door hinge — also known as an invisible hinge or hidden door hinge — is a precision multi-link mechanism mortised into the door leaf and frame. When the door closes, the hinge vanishes completely, leaving an uninterrupted flush surface on both sides.
Beyond aesthetics, the engineering case is strong: no exposed knuckle or removable pin means superior tamper resistance; multi-axis adjustment delivers millimetre-precise door alignment after installation; and fire-engineered versions maintain structural integrity through UL 10C positive-pressure and EN1634 furnace testing — a mandatory requirement for stairwells, corridors and exit pathways in commercial buildings.

Unlike traditional butt hinges, concealed hinges mount entirely inside the door and frame — invisible when closed, adjustable in up to three axes, and certifiable for 2+ hour fire door assemblies.
