Door viewers are typically used on hotel, motel and apartment entrance doors to permit individuals to see the person on the other side of the door without having to open the door. Conference and meeting rooms frequently have door viewers that allow service people to peek inside the room without interrupting the meeting in progress.
Certain models of door viewers are listed and approved for use on fire-rated openings.
NOTE Be sure to list the thickness of the door when ordering door viewers to ensure they are of the proper length to fit the door on which they are being installed.
