Door Hardware Finishes - Get That Good Touch!

Door hardware is about making your life just a little bit easier. Everything from pulls and handles to hinges, cover it all. If you're like me you have several sets of doors and a big closet and you don't know what to do with all of them other than hanging clothes. This is where you need a few clever ideas of how to use your existing door hardware. You can install new door hardware that will give you a whole new look, or you can just remodel your closet door hardware to coordinate with your new door hardware.

Door hardware can be in a variety of finishes including polished brass, satin nickel, brushed nickel, oil rubbed bronze, and many more. If you're going to replace the door hardware, then I would suggest choosing a finish for your new hardware that matches your present door hardware. Polished Brass and Satin Nickel are my favorite. For exterior door hardware, I highly recommend polished brass over brushed nickel because of its non-reflective quality and longer life. Oil rubbed bronze and brushed aluminum are also great choices for exterior door hardware but you don't want your interior door hardware to resemble the exterior door hardware.
